Inked!

Happy Friday beautiful people!♥ I hope you all had a great week, but I hope you all have an even better weekend.

So, today is Friday the 13th.  When people hear that, they normally think of something haunted and scary, but when I think of it, I think of $13 tattoos!!!  I know I wrote in a blog a while ago that I was going to tell you the meaning of all of my tattoos, and since I just added one to the collection, I figured there’s no better time than now!  I only have four as of now, but I am hoping to get more in the future.  I have gotten four tattoos all in under a year, so I’m thinking of taking a break from getting them, but we’ll see if that break lasts;)

My first ever tattoo I got in July, 2017.  I got a small sun on my side.  I decided to get this sun because growing up, my mom would ALWAYS call me sunshine.  If you know me, you know I am very close with my mom, she’s my best friend.  Of course I was going to get a tattoo that reminded me of her in a way.  Now every time I see this tattoo, it reminds me of her and to always live my life with sunshine.

My next two tattoos, I got at the same time in January, 2018.  I got a wave on my foot, and a tulip on my wrist.  I got the wave, because I was born and raised in California.  When I think of California, I think of sunny beaches and oceans.  Since I go to school out of state, I wanted to always have a little piece of California with me, so I got the wave.  The tulip, I got at the same time with my best friend Karli.  She got this tattoo on her ankle, and like I said I got mine on my wrist.  A tulip represents endless love, growth, and cheerful thoughts.  Nothing could relate more to my relationship with Karli.  We have been best friends for close to seven years now.  We’ve watched each other grow, we’ve shared countless laughs, and I know we will continue to be best friends for a long long time (a.k.a: forever).  She has always been there for me and I couldn’t be more thankful for that.  So every time I see this tattoo, I am reminded of the bond and the love we share and it never fails to bring a smile to my face, just like her.

Finally, (for now) I got my newest tattoo on April 13, 2018.  This tattoo is an upside down triangle with a horizontal line going through the bottom/middle of the triangle, placed right above my elbow.  This little piece holds multiple meanings to me.  First of all, an upside down triangle represents female energy and the triangle shape represents strength.  This is important to me, because I think that in this world, females hold so much strength and potential, but we aren’t always able to perform(due to many reasons, but that’s a whole different story).  Also, an upside down triangle with a line through the middle is the earth element symbol.  This is important to me because I care a lot about the earth and I am very passionate about being kind to the earth. (I know this piece is very fresh so sorry if the picture looks a little weird.)

I know this has nothing to do with the meaning of a tattoo, but I have never gotten a tattoo on a Friday the 13th, so this experience was very new for me.  The wait was over three hours long, and it was crazy busy.  But during the wait, I got to talk to multiple people, hear what tattoos they were getting and what they meant.  As I was getting the tattoo, there were two girls sitting next to me (both getting tattoos as well) and I got to talking to one of them.  She was a super cute girl and she looked really nervous, so I tried talking to her to get her mind off things a bit.  She was getting her first tattoo with her best friend who was also there.  It was an airplane on their side because they wanted to travel together in the future.  Hearing her tell me about the meaning of her tattoo with her best friend reminded me of getting the tulip with Karli and I felt so happy for them since they were getting matching tattoos. (The final product was SUPER CUTE too).
