Hi lovely people! So, I’ve been wanting to write about this for a while now because it’s something I love sharing with people, so I hope you all enjoy.
Since I go to school so far away from home, I don’t get to visit very often. I have to say the worst part is being away from my dogs (and my friends and family of course but right now I’m focusing on the puppers!)
I have two furry friends back home: Ellie (left) and Ty (right). Ellie is much younger, she’s only two and she is half Dachshund, half Yorkie. Ty on the other hand is a bit older and he is half Maltese half Yorkie. I got Ty as a tenth birthday present, so he’s about nine.
The anecdote I always like to share is how I decided to name the dogs. When I was younger I was obsessed with the show “Extreme Makeover Home Edition”. I thought Ty Pennington was super attractive, so I decided to name my dog after him. Hence the name Ty. Ellie on the other hand, we had known we were going to get her for a while before we did. We were stuck between names for some time, then one day, I was in the drive through at In n Out with my family and the song “Lights” by Ellie Goulding came on. For some reason my dad liked the sound of her voice and asked what her name was. Once I told him, he said “I like that name, let’s name our dog that.” And after that, we decided to call her Ellie.
I adore these dogs and I always love coming home to them. Being away at college is hard, so every time I see a dog walking on campus I have to go up and pet it. I just thought I would share my favorite dogs with my readers, so I hope you all enjoy! Thanks for reading, see you all next week!
