Balancing a Busy Life

Hello friends! I know I’ve been absent on this site for a while, and I am definitely working on posting more frequently.

I hope everyone had a wonderful time during the holidays, but as many of you know, it’s that time of year where school and work is starting back up again and life’s responsibilities are returning full swing!  As a college student, club member, sorority executive board member, and part-time worker, I have a pretty full schedule these days.  And this is all on top of having a long distance boyfriend, and wanting a semi-normal social life!  At times, it is difficult to balance all aspects of my life, but it’s always important to prioritize.

Personally, my number one priority has always been a high level of success in school.  I have always been a determined student and now that I am in my second semester of my sophomore year, I’ve jumped right in to many higher level business classes.  Also, this semester I have to apply to Eller college, the business college here at the University of Arizona.  This is a very competitive process, so I will be putting a lot of time and energy into it. I find out in early March if I have been accepted, so I’ll keep everyone updated!

On top of school, I am a member of a club that is very demanding this time of year, as well as my executive position in my sorority.  People come to me day and night with questions and concerns, and although these sometimes aren’t very difficult tasks, they do end up being quite time consuming.  Let’s just say that extreme organization has become essential in my lifestyle these days.  Also, due to my position, I will be traveling to Indianapolis this February for a leadership training. This is something I am very excited for! I’ve really never traveled far from the West Coast, so this is going to be a big trip for me! Wish me luck!

I wish you all luck during this busy time of the year! Don’t forget to take some time for yourself  in between your busy schedules.  However, don’t forget to prioritize everything you have going on.  Good luck in you endeavors of 2018, and I wish you all a (late) happy new year!
